A medical study has found that the Australian media's coverage of Kylie Minogue's breast cancer diagnosis and surgery prompted an unprecedented rise in bookings for mammography.
Today's Medical Journal of Australia has published a study revealing that bookings for mammograms rose by 40 per cent during the two weeks of coverage about Ms Minogue's diagnosis and surgery for breast cancer.
